Led Zeppelin – The Rover
Realmente esta canción no habla de Londres en concreto sino como su propio nombre indica nos habla de “The Rover”, una palabra con la que los británicos se refieren a los trotamundos…pero eso sí, en toda la canción solo se menciona una única ciudad real, y esa sí que es Londres. Además al tratarse de un blog de viajes qué mejor que hablar de un trotamundos, y para ser sincero semejante temazo se merecía estar aquí presente por poco que mencione la capital inglesa.
Este tema tardó casi 3 años en ser publicado y una de las razones o quizá una consecuencia de su no publicación inmediata es que el mismo tema sufrió una metamorfosis pasando de ser una canción acústica hasta convertirse en una potente canción de Hard Rock que finalmente vio la luz como segundo corte del maravilloso Physical Graffiti de 1975.
En ella los Zeppelin nos cuentan, suponemos, la sensación que ellos mismos tendrían de no pertenecer a ningún lugar en concreto al verse siempre metidos en giras maratonianas por todo el planeta, así que ellos son los auténticos “trotamundos” de los que nos habla esta canción que tiene a Londres como pistoletazo de salida.
