La narración de un piloto británico de la RAF que se enfrenta a los aviones de la Luftwaffe alemana durante la Batalla de Inglaterra sirvió a Steve Harris para componer uno de los temas más emblemáticos del quinteto-sexteto británico, adalides de lo que se diera en llamar New Wave of British Heavy Metal. En sus interpretaciones en directo suele ser precedida por el fragmento de un discurso de Winston Churchill, algo que también aparece en el video clip.
Para todos aquellos que han crecido escuchando este tema, deseosos de recordar tiempos en los que unos acordes marcaban la diferencia entre un día asqueroso y el comienzo de una velada memorable, va mi sentida dedicatoria. Para la nueva hornada de melómanos, una recomendación: dejaos llevar por un grupo y un estilo que señalaron a más de una generación.
